When we wanted to create new websites for our respective businesses, we did our research and we both chose Chad Barr.

It certainly wasn’t because he was the cheapest in town (he’s not!) We chose him because we intuitively knew that he was a Rising Star. We knew that as a Rising Star he would not let us settle for anything but our best…and his best.

We asked Chad about what makes him naturally a Rising Star and what continues to define him as a Rising Star today. In response to our questions, Chad explain:, “I always wanted to be the best in the areas that I am passionate about. In the areas that I was bored with I didn’t want to waste my time.” He also shared: “The things that I master and internalize, I then become bored with…so I have to look for what is next to push myself and experience greater success.”

Chad validates what we are saying about what distinguishes a Rising Star:

1. The capacity to learn and grow and can-do attitude are the hallmarks that truly separate Rising Stars from non-Rising Stars. Chad says, “I adore challenges” which is a big part of a Rising Star.
2. Passion is important. Rising Stars are not a “jack of all trades” but whatever trade they select, they master.
3. Rising Stars have always been Rising Stars. When we asked Chad when he knew he was a Rising Star, he referenced experiences that date back to his early childhood and teenage years such as playing music as examples.
4. Rising Stars get shinier over time. Chad says, “[This] trait that is evolving in me. As I the years go by, I become better focused although I was quite focused on my early teens in what I was most passionate about.”
5. Rising Stars are recognized by others as Rising Stars. A seminal moment for Chad came about 20 years when he was working with one of his largest clients. The President/Owner/CEO validated Chad’s unique talent in front the entire management team by publicly recognizing Chad as “one of the coolest entrepreneurs out there.”

Our top line is: Rising Stars have passion, competence and an unquenchable thirst to grow and learn. As Chad says, “The things I am passionate about I put my entire being into becoming the best of the best. “ Therefore, if you want to be the best, you need to give it your all to become it.
